I can choose either fun, mostly useless classes or more rigorous slightly less fun but probably beneficial classes. Weba bio degree can be the basis for a lot of career choices. A biology degree can be good for pursuing graduate studies but most people don’t give a shit that you can name the parts of a bug.
I got a bs in biology and an almost perfect gpa. Or if you’re having trouble starting a career, you can get a masters degree in a more specific area. I thought i wanted to go into the medical field but the realities.
For example, i could take molecular evolution (fun) or general microbiology (difficult). You might be able to enter a field with just a bio degree like i did. Webredditors who have a degree in biology, what is your career now? I thought i was doing everything right. I know mds, dvms, phds, mss, as well as leaders in biotech who all had biology undergrad degrees.
If you are unsure and want a biology degree, go for it. Weba basic science bs (which is typically the study of nature and animals, insects and such) does not give enough education on things that are important to other sciences.
