Webfrances bavier, who played aunt bee on ''the andy griffith show'' on television in the 1960's, died at her home here on wednesday. Websome sources claim she was briefly married to a military man named russell carpenter from 1928 to 1933. She was 86 years old.
She rarely left the house, town residents say. In a 1964 interview, frances mentioned marrying a charming man.
