Reddit American Airlines Accidentally Canceled Flight
Webi just checked my american app and realized i didn’t see my return flight on there anymore. Enter password or text. Webcancelled flight without any text message or email.
Accidentally canceled flight in may. Webi am pretty sure i accidentally canceled in app. I didnt know such a mistake was possible.
It's only two or three touches on the screen to cancel in app. I've exchanged multiple emails back and forth now with aa customer service, who acknowledge it was. Of course, i tried to call. Has this happened to anyone else? Only a few hours before takeoff.

It should be harder to cancel via the app, e. g. Webif your flights are cancelled, you’ll be given the option to rebook on the next flight or get a refund. Webi accidentally canceled my returning flight while my phone was in my hand with the app open. Webi have to book a new flight same day, leaving me $1400 out of pocket. I contact support and the only thing they could do was… I called the airline last night assuming it was a glitch and they confirmed that. Webafter getting off the phone with support, i was told that my flight was accidentally cancelled, which infuriated me.
